Bregina Pullen is the Founder and Director of The Home of Hope & Dreams. Since 2005 she has been coming to Uganda, volunteering as a teacher in another children’s home. There she saw the situation where children were in and she decided to follow her heart and start her own home to support vulnerable children.
In December 2009 the Home of Hope & Dreams was opened up as a orphanage in Mpigi Town. In cooperation with the Probation Officer and Child and Family Protection Unit of Mpigi Police, children were admitted in the home.
In 2015 the organization started involving relatives and parents of the children and nice relationships were built. The management realized that children are supposed to be with their relatives and started slowly to reunite children with their biological relatives.
The Home of Hope & Dreams is no longer a traditional orphanage, but is now working for the wellbeing of children and their families. Reuniting and placing children in families (biological of foster families) is our main goal.
